NAMCHI, 10 Dec: The ruling Sikkim Democratic Front continued its door-to-door campaign in Poklok-Kamrang constituency in South Sikkim. At Sorok Shyampani Gram Panchayat Unit under the constituency, one Chandra Bdr. Tamang and his family rejoined the SDF today. Mr Tamang had joined the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party in November earlier this year. Chairman, Ecclesiastical Department Lakpa Ghising welcomed him back into the party.
While addressing the programme, Mr. Ghising said that while there may be dissatisfaction among some party workers, they should not lose sight of the task of working for the betterment of Sikkim which is the ultimate aim of Chief Minister Pawan Chamling. “So, we the party workers should learn to look beyond minor misunderstandings and work together for the betterment of the state,” he stressed.
