GANGTOK, 30 Jan: Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee [SPCC] observed the 66th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at its office at 5th Mile, Tadong today. The day is also celebrated as Martyrs Day to pay the tribute to him.
An SPCC press release informs that on the occasion the gathering took the pledge to follow the path of the great leader and to solemnly practice the noble values as preached and practiced in his lifetime.
The release mentions that on advice from AICC New Delhi, SPCC working president, Dr AD Subba organized, conducted and briefed about the importance of the day to those present.
