SKM car rallies to begin Republic Day

GANGTOK, 25 Jan: On the eve of the 65th Republic Day, Sikkim Krantikari Morcha [SKM] leader, PS Tamang [Golay], today accused the state government of going against the very ethos of democratic, republic structure.
An SKM release informs that Mr. Tamang visited Melli in South Sikkim and interacted with the people and wished them on the eve of Republic Day. He urged the people of Sikkim to come forward for the development of the state and the country as a whole.
SKM party will begin its car rallies on Republic Day throughout the State led by the party’s secretary general MK Subba, the release informs.
During his visit, the public of Melli alleged that the area has been suffering from drinking water supply problem which has not been addressed by the state government for the past 20 years.
On the same Mr Tamang said that due the lack of proper government policy to address the drinking water supply problem, the South district which is a drought prone region is facing lots of problems. He accused the ruling party of neglecting Melli during its 20-year rule in the state.
He further informed the gathering about SKM’s party policy, programme and vision during his visit to Melli constituency, the release adds.
