GANGTOK, 30 Jan: Deputy General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, Gangtok, Anil Kumar Yadav has been awarded an M.Phil degree by the Madurai Kamaraj University of Tamil Nadu.
A press release informs that Mr Yadav, an alumni of Sikkim Government College here, was awarded the M.Phil degree for his dissertation titled “Study of Problems Faced by Traders of Sikkim in Indo-China Border Trade through Nathu La”.
The study was conducted under the guidance of Associate Professor & Head, Department of Commerce, Sikkim Government College, Gangtok, Dr SS Mahapatra.
The study traces the historical evolution of border trade in Sikkim till the resumption of border trade again in 2006, the release adds.
