GANGTOK, 30 Jan: On the solemn occasion of the 66th Death Anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the Martyr’s Day was observed at the premises of New Raj Bhawan today.
A press release informs that two minutes silence was observed to commemorate and honour all the Martyrs who laid down their lives in service of the nation. On the occasion, the Governor and the first lady paid homage by offering khadas and flowers at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi located at New Raj Bhawan. Also present were officials and staff of Raj Bhawan.
