GANGTOK, 03 Dec: Two-month long Jan Samparka Abhiyan of the Sikkim Democratic Front [SDF] party which had started on 24 November at Prerna Gaon near Government College, Tadong successfully concluded on 01 December.
An SDF press release informs that the Abhiyan was conducted in the presence of area MLA, DB Thapa, Daragaon Ward Councillor, Bhaskar Basnett, member of Planning Commission, Madan Chettri, Councillors, Udai Lama, Prabhat Gurung, youth convenors, Cheli Morcha convenors, CEC members and other active party workers.
During the Abhiyan, the public actively interacted with the MLA and placed their grievances and demands like construction of jhoras, street lights, drinking water and others.
The MLA assured the public to fulfill their demands at the earliest. He urged the youth to work actively and contribute for the betterment of the society. He also informed the public about various beneficial programmes and policies of the government. The Abhiyan received a positive response from the public, informs the release.
