GANGTOK, 01 Nov: The Dor-U-Cho Sum of Sangchen Pemayangtse Monastery, Pelling have condoled the passing away of Khangchendzonga Bongthing, Samdup Taso of Dzongu, in a press release issued by the Monastery today.
“With the sad demise of current Khangchen Dzonga Yab Bongthing Samdub Taso of Dzongu, Sikkim has lost one of the great masters and reigning re-incarnate of Thekong Mensalong. Yab Bongthing Samdub Taso was the current holder of his centuries old family tradition as Khangchen Dzonga Bongthing, one of the highest in our Sikkimese system”, the release states.
The Dor-U-Cho Sum, all the monk and Duchi community and the lay devotees of this Monastery pray for the swift transition of his re-incarnation for the benefit of all the sentient beings, the release adds.
