‘Royenan Phulharu’, a collection of Nepali poems released

GANGTOK, 30 Oct: ‘Royenan Phulharu’, a collection of Nepali poems written by Nabin Manohar, a poet from Nepal was released at a simple function here today.
A group of prominent writers and journalists from Nepal attended the function along with the local writers and journalists. The function was chaired by Mahesh Prasai from Kathmandu while the chief guest was poet Birbhatra Karkidholi.
Mr Prasai expressed his happiness on releasing the book in Sikkim, which, he said, will help build a good rapport between poets and writers of Nepal and Sikkim. He said that the collection was a genuine and sincere expression of the poet.
Poet Karkidholi also expressed his happiness to release such a book and said that he is greatly influenced by the beautiful poetic expression of poets from Nepal.
Secretary, Nepali Sahitya Parishad, Bhanuprakash Marmik, pointed out that such a function must be organized with great festivity in Sikkim in the future so that the writers of both the countries can find a forum to exchange their experiences and feelings freely.
During the function, Nabin Manohar and Pesal Acharya recited their poems. Writer and journalist, Pranay Lamichaney highlighted the importance of co-operation and a forum for writers and journalists of both the countries to promote Nepali language and literature.
Poet, Amar Baniya Lohoro, writer, Bijay Katuwal, poetess, Leela Chhetri were also present on the occasion among other dignitaries.
