GANGTOK, 01 Nov: The Sikkim Bhutia Lepcha Apex Committee today held a meeting to condole the sudden demise of Venerable Ajho Bongthing Samdub Taso on Sunday.
A press release issued by SIBLAC informs that during the meeting Convener, Tseten Tashi Bhutia reminded that it was necessary to adhere to the late Ajho Bongthing’s life long service and also to propitiate and worship the Guardian Deity Khangchen Dzonga for the welfare of Bayul Dremo Dzong.
The release goes on to state that Ahjo Bongthing was in-fact an institution in himself who would hold the Thousands-years-old family-tradition as a bridge with the Guardian Deity Khangchen Dzonga. SIBLAC has also declared a week long official mourning in the honor of the late Venerable Ajho Bongthing Samdub Taso.
