Beauty Welfare Assc pools resources to raise relief for Lachung

GANGTOK, 28 Sept: Seventeen beauty parlours of Gangtok have pooled in donations and collected an amount of Rs. 23,875 with which they have purchased blankets, sweaters, shawls, torch-lights and jackets as relief materials to be sent up to Lachung, informed Lata Lepcha, president of the All Sikkim Beauty Welfare Association, while speaking to NOW! today.
“We are trying to help the people in our own small way and so we collected some donation from the 17 beauty parlours and bought relief materials to help the victims of the earthquake,” she added.
The relief materials [five packets] were handed over to the Lachung Pipon Chewang Namgyal in the evening, Ms. Lepcha adds.
The 17 beauty parlours are Lata’s, Identity, Queen’s, Looks, Starlit, Good Looks, Cutting Bodycare, Mask, Shingar, Angel, Blue Haven, Saundarya, Karlos, Bounce E and Savi’s.
