‘Acoustic Prayers’ in aid of earthquake victims

GANGTOK, 28 Sept: In an attempt to contribute support to the earthquake victims in Sikkim who are still in dire need of the basic necessities, “Acoustic Prayers”, a live music performance is being organized on 30 Sept at Little Italy, SNOD complex from 7 pm onwards and on 01 Oct at Live and Loud, Tibet Road, from 8 to 10 pm.
“Two nights of prayers for the souls we have lost and the souls we can save through a medium which is as beautiful and powerful as the soul itself – music! The show aims at raising funds through the entry fee which will then be donated to an organization carrying out relief work in the quake affected areas”, inform the organizers.
The show features Ayush Man Shrestha, who has established himself as a popular singer songwriter in the Mumbai music circuit after performing regularly at BlueFROG – one of the best live music venues in the continent. He will be performing his set of original compositions and a few covers. Demonstrating a range of shades and temperaments his music boils down to acoustic simplicity, which draws influences from an eclectic range of genres from blues, rock, pop, folk, to classic ballads.
Joining Ayush on stage will be other local talents as well like Neha Pradhan of Alive, Tshering Norgyal Theeng, Yougal Basnett, Likhit Pradhan, Adeline W Simick and Niha Pradhan.
