GANGTOK, 08 Aug [PIB]: 36th Bn SSB organized a general health check up camp today in the Sandiksha hall. Wives of all SSB personnel and their children were provided health tips and check up under the aegis of Sandiksha which is observing the July to September quarter as Daughter's Quarter.
Dr. Doma Lachenpa (Asstt.Commandant/Medical) of 36th Bn checked the general health of all the family members of SSB personnel. Dr. Doma also delivered lectures on antenatal care, neonatal care, child health and vaccination. She also sensitized regarding seasonal ailments like Japanese Encephalitis etc. Dr Lachenpa informed that this camp was preplanned and basically classified into three categories:-1. Child Health Care 2.Vaccination 3.General check up of health. Speaking about the Health care camp she said that the main aim and objective of this health check up is to make our jawan’s families physically and mentally strong and to make them health conscious.
Speaking on this occasion, Asha Singh [Vice President Sandiksha 36th Bn.SSB] emphasized that all of us must take care of our families' health, as it is of prime importance. She welcomed all the new Sandiksha members and suggested them to be part of all the Sandiksha programmes regularly. The programme was attended by 35 families of all ranks of the unit. All the ladies took health tips from the doctor and also learned about the vaccination and other important aspects of Neo-natal care.
