GANGTOK, 13 Aug: ENGAGE 14, the initiative of the Gangtok Municipal Corporation reached out to students of Daffodils Home School to encourage them to understand more about Solid Waste Management and inspire them to reduce, reuse and recycle.
A press release informs that the ENGAGE Discussion program, the intervention for Secondary school students was very well received by the school. The Principal of the school, Sandhya Gurung thanked the GMC for taking the initiative to involve students to lead the change and inspire them to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Roshan Rai, a teacher at Daffodils Home lauded the efforts of the GMC and 24hours Inspired for this initiative while student Alin Balkuti also appreciated the programme.
The ENGAGE discussion was also attended by Suman Rai of the Gangtok Municipal Corporation and Vivek Chettri, Ex-member KCC with the panel discussion moderated by Chief Learning Officer, 24hours Inspired, Dewaker Basnet, the release informs.
