Chocolate making training concludes

GANGTOK, 08 Aug: A three-day training program on “Homemade Chocolate Making” organised by NEDFi concluded on Thursday. The program was imparted to support the local people, potential entrepreneurs and provide technical knowhow in chocolate making, thus advocating the creation and generation of income and increased sustainable economic activity in the region for the unemployed and potential entrepreneurs, informs a press release.
The program was held at Hotel Tarayana, Tibet Road, Gangtok, East Sikkim from 05-07 August and was attended by 32 trainees.
The training program was conducted by Chandrani Sharma and Avou Pethok who were the resource persons.
AK Das (Dy. General Manager, NEDFi Guwahati) attended the valedictory programme on Thursday and handed over the certificates and kits to the trainees. He also addressed the gathering and interacted with the trainees.
The training program was also addressed by Branch Manager, Nawang Pintso Bhutia, who apprised the trainees and assured to provide all possible assistance in terms of marketing and further technical linkages to make this programme a successful one.
NEDFi has been providing such design and skill training programs under its Corporate Social Responsibility, the one such being Namchi Designer Candles at Namchi, South Sikkim, and has  thus provided a platform for chocolate training program at Gangtok East District by NEDFi Gangtok Branch Office located at Sonam Tshering Marg, Gangtok, East Sikkim, the release mentions.
