Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche arrives in South Sikkim

HEAD OF NYINGMAPA SECT TO LEAD CONSECRATION PRAYERS FOR NGADAK MONASTERY
NAMCHI, 13 Jan: Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche (Simla Rinpoche), head of the Nyingmapa sect arrived at Namchi helipad at Assangthang this morning. He is scheduled to conduct the Rapney [prayers] at the newly constructed Ngadak Gumpa at Upper Ghurpisey, Namchi on 14 January.
The new Ngadak Gumpa will be officially inaugurated by the Chief Minister Pawan Chamling on 15 January in an official function. Phurpa Wang will be distributed on 24 January 2014 at the Gumpa premises.
Today, the Rinpoche was given a warm welcome here at Assangthang Helipad by the monks and devotees. Representing the Sikkim Government, Sangha MLA, Phituk Tshering Lama escorted the Rinpoche from Bagdogra airport while he was received at the Namchi helipad by MLA Namchi-Singithang, Binod Rai.
