GANGTOK, 27 Dec [IPR]: Chief Minister Pawan Chamling has extended warm wishes to the people of Sikkim for the festive season starting from 30 December 2013. In his message, the Chief Minister has greeted the people of Sikkim for Tamu Lochar which falls on 30 December, Kagyed Dance which falls on 31 December, Losoong festival which is celebrated from 02 to 05 January 2014 and Nyenpa Guzom which falls on 06 and 07 January 2014. He has expressed that these festivals carry great significance in shaping the socio-cultural fabric of the Sikkimese society and has urged all to observe each festival with utmost mutual respect and reverence.
The Chief Minister has also extended warm greetings to the people for the New Year 2014. In his message, Mr Chamling has wished for good health, happiness and prosperity to all the people of Sikkim. He has called for heightened optimism and a positive outlook in the coming year. He has further shared that the festive season would give all an opportunity to unwind and come back with fresh zeal and enthusiasm.
Looking back on 2013, he has expressed satisfaction over the effective implementation of developmental schemes of the Government and recognition of the state of Sikkim in national and international circles. In his message, the Chief Minister has congratulated all government functionaries and stakeholders for the contribution towards making Sikkim a progressive state of the Nation. The Chief Minister is also joined by Smt. Tika Maya Chamling in extending good wishes to the people of Sikkim.
