Two minors have been arrested by the Singtam police in connection with the burglary which took place during the festive season in a residential room at Santinagar. The two juveniles, one 12 years and another 15 years of age, are reported to be residents of Santinagar, Singtam. They were picked up after investigation by the police into the theft which had been reported at the thana on 6 January; the police traced the culprits on 8 January. Not only have they been arrested but the stolen articles also recovered; these included gold jewelry and electronic items. Both the juveniles have been sent to custody at the Juvenile Observation Home. The owner had left Singtam on 31 December for Siliguri and returned on 6 January to find that his rooms had been burgled. A complaint had then been lodged with the Singtam police.
