GANGTOK, 13 Jan: The Governor of Sikkim, Shriniwas Patil and the First lady of Sikkim, Rajanidevi Patil have extended their warm greetings to the people of Sikkim on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti.
As per a press release, the Governor has said, “The celebration of Maghe Sankranti marks the end of the month of Poush, and the beginning of the month of Magh of the Bikram Samvat Nepali Calendar. It heralds the reawakening of hope and progress in our lives.
May this festival help our people and community to come together to strengthen unity in diversity. Let it bring a new ray of hope and dimensions in their lives.”
The Chief Minister Pawan Chamling and Mrs. Tika Maya Chamling have also extended their warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Sikkim on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti.
