GANGTOK, 03 Aug: Assistant Professor at the Peace & Conflict Department of Sikkim University, Dr. Sanghamitra Choudhury, has been selected for a Post-Doctoral fellowship at Oxford University, UK. This prestigious fellowship is awarded to only one person across India in a year.
As per a press release, Dr. Choudhury has also been the recipient of many International Fellowships like Charles Wallace Fellowship at Queens University, Belfast, UK and United Nations International Law Fellowship at The Hague Academy of International Law, The Netherlands.
Dr. Choudhury is a respected social scientist and has written extensively on issues of Gender and Peace, Gender and Climate Change and Human Rights. She has also delivered many public lectures in India and abroad apart from serving many reputed institutions like UNIFEM, United Nations, the release adds.
