Singlebong JHS defeats East Point School in I-Day tourney at Chisopani

GANGTOK, 06 Aug: Singlebong JHS defeated East Point SSS, Singtam with three goals to one on Tuesday in the inaugural match of the 68th Independence Day Celebration JHS Level Football Tournament organized by Chisopani JHS.
A press release informs that the boys of Singlebong JHS had the upper hand in the match and went on to score two goals in the first half and added another goal in the second half to take their goal tally to three. EPSS boys gave their best but could only manage a lone goal scored in the first half.
Sumendra Rai scored twice while Jiwan Subba scored the other goal for Singlebong. EPSSS team captain Arya Mangar netted the lone goal for his team, the release informs.
Bimal Lamichaney, Panchayat President, Sirwani Chisopani GPU was the chief guest on the occasion. Mahesh Dahal, Headmaster of Chisopani JHS gave the welcome speech. CM Chettri, teacher of the school was the host of the football match.
