Biometric devices to monitor attendance installed in North DAC

MANGAN, 03 Aug:  The North district has become the first district to install biometric devices at government offices for attendance monitoring of its employees. All employees will now have to mark their attendance in these devices before entering and upon leaving office. Those who fail to do so will be marked absent and will be considered on leave without pay.
In the first phase, biometric devices have been installed at the New Annexure building while the second phase will cover all departments. After every month a list of absentees will be generated by the DC office which will be sent to the concerned department for clarification. This means that attendance will be monitored for all departments by the DC office.
