GANGTOK, 06 Aug [IPR]: Minister for Urban Development and Housing Department, NK Subba, inaugurated a “Cobbler Shed” here in the capital on Tuesday. The shed is located in the heart of town at Sonam Gyatso Marg (Tibet Road).
Implemented by Gangtok Municipal Corporation (GMC) and constructed with financial assistance from Housing & Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) the Shed has been constructed in an area of 425 sq ft and can accommodate 15 cobblers and is built at an estimated cost of Rs 23 lakh.
After the inauguration, the Minister Mr. Subba while inspecting the shed urged the beneficiaries to use the shed properly and to the optimum.
On the occasion one of the beneficiaries expressed his profound gratitude towards the government and the concerned departments for making them this shed.
