GANGTOK,
27 Mar: More than 300 students of Rangpo Junior High School including Head
Master, Kailash Thapa and teachers participated in an awareness programme on TB
conducted by the NGO, CARE today.
A press
release informs that Project Coordinator, CARE, Milan Rai delivered the welcome
address and informed about the day’s program. He informed about the importance
of completing TB treatment and support from families of TB patients.
CARE
representative, Nitin Chettri, emphasised on the correct diagnosis and
treatment of TB. He further addressed the various misconceptions regarding TB
in the community and also answered queries put up by the children of the
school.
The
concluding address was given by Milan Rai who said that the mission of fighting
TB can only be possible with the participation of the people at the community
level, the release adds.
