NAMCHI, 26 Mar [IPR]: The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha [SKM] president, PS Tamang [Golay] today filed his nomination papers here at the Returning Officer’s Office in South District.
Mr. Tamang filed his nominations for Namthang-Rateypani along with 7 other fellow candidates for a total number of 8 Assembly Constituencies in the South District. The day also saw Trinamool Congress (TMC) filing nomination papers for the Assembly elections.
The names of the SKM candidates who filed their nominations today are Pema Wangyal Bhutia [Barfung], Bhoj Raj Rai [Poklok Kamrang], Milan Rai [Namchi Singhithang], Prem Karki [Melli], Lalit Sharma [Temi Namphing], Bikash Basnet [Rangang Yangang], Nedup Tshering Lepcha [Tumin Lingee] and SKM president, PS Tamang [Namthang Rateypani].
The TMC candidates who filed their nominations today are Yasodha Bara Koti [Namthang Rateypani] and Prem Tshering Lepcha [Tumin Lingee].
On Thursday i.e.27 March scrutiny of the nomination papers will be done.
