16 file nominations in East

GANGTOK, 24 Mar [IPR]: Sixteen candidates submitted their nominations today in the office of the District Collector, East who is also the Returning Officer for the district.

The name of the candidates and the constituencies are: Punya Prasad Koirala [Cong] for Khamdong Singtam; Bhim Prasad Dhungel [SDF] and Padam Bdr. Chettri [Cong] for Rhenock; Rudra Narsing Sakya [Cong] for Chujachen, Dorjee Ongden Bhutia [Cong] and Pempa Tshering Bhutia for Gnathang Machong, Manoj Rai [Cong] for Namcheybung, Samdup Dorjee Lama [Cong] for Shyari, Sonam Tshering Bhutia [Cong] for Martam Rumtek, Tara Kumar Pradhan [Cong] for Upper Tadong, Rajeney Gurung [independent] for Arithang,  Tshering Gyatso Kaleon [Cong] for Gangtok, DR Thapa [SDF], Santa Bir Gurung [Cong] and Renuka Gurung for Upper Burtuk, and Palden Lachungpa [SDF] for Sangha.
