Vishwa Shanti prayers at Mamring Durga Mandir

SINGTAM, 20 Jan: A daylong ‘Vishwa Shanti Mahayagya Path and Chandi Path’ was held at the Durga Mandir here at Mamring, East Sikkim, on 17 January. More than 450 devotes from surrounding areas of Amba, Mamring, Gyanchung and Tareythang attended the prayers. Also on the occasion, an Appreciation Letter was presented to the Ecclesiastical Affairs Department and a statue of Radha-Krishna donated by Jarman Rai to the temple. Mamring Durga Mandir Committee has thanked the Ecclesiastical Affairs Department for all its support and expressed hope that such support will continue in the future as well. [from SHITAL PRADHAN]
