EPCYFS 20th Annual Youth Convention 2014 held at Mangshila

MANGAN, 24 Jan: The Evangelical Presbyterian Church Youth Fellowship, Sikkim organized the 20th Annual Youth Convention’2014 at Mangshilla, North Sikkim from 23 to 26 January. The inaugural function on 23 January was attended by MLA Martam-Rumtek Constituency cum Chairman Estimate Committee, Menlom Lepcha as the chief guest while Zilla Adhakshya North, Anguli Lepcha was the special guest.
Also present in the function were Up-Adhakshya North, NT Lepcha, Chairman Convention committee, Elder PW Lepcha, President Convention Committee, PB Subba and the general public.
The function started with the declaration of the commencement of 20th Annual Youth Convention’2014 by Deputy Moderator (EPCS), Rev. Shyam Subba followed by the introduction of the convention committee.
Also in the function, a Christian music album produced by EPCYFS was released by the chief guest. A colourful cultural programme by dance troupes from different churches, words of God, and the prayer and benediction were part of the programme.
The chief guest in his speech appealed to all the Christian youth to set an example as many youth are getting into drugs and other anti-social activities. He further urged the youth to bring awareness among the people to refrain from all such unwanted activities.
Earlier, the function was welcomed by Chairman Convention Committee, Elder PW Lepcha and ended with the vote of thanks delivered by President Convention Committee, PB Subba.
