GANGTOK, 24 Jan: A placement drive was conducted at ATTC, Bardang East Sikkim by renowned company Hitachi Automotive Systems (India) Pvt Ltd on 21 January 2014, initiated by the Training and Placement Officer (TPO), Deependra Chettri.
A press release informs that the placement procedure involved a written examination for the final year students, after which successful candidates were invited back for a personal interview with the Hitachi team.
A total of 15 students (9 girls and 6 boys) were selected from various branches such as Diploma in Mechatronics, Diploma in Computer Science and Diploma in Tool & Die Making, the release informs. Selected students are scheduled to join after the completion of their diploma in July 2014. The placement offer for these students also includes a 3-month training at the parent company, Hitachi in Japan, it is added.
The names of the students who have been selected are Sunaina Gurung, Sneha Pradhan, Elina Lepcha, Chumkit Lepcha, Arati Tamang, Laxmi Sharma, Priyanka Kumari Gupta, Mahendra Kumar Yadav, Ankita Kumari, Ngima Ongchu Sherpa, Pronab Dahal, Sagnik Bhattacharya, Anugra Wangchuk Lepcha, Yanu Hang Subba and Vivek Chettri.
ATTC Bardang has congratulated the successful students and wished them all the best for a bright and prosperous future.
