The Jal-Abhishekh Yatra started with the offering of prayers at the Devi Mandir at Namthang, from where the devotees moved to the Siddheswar Dham at Solophok here. Upon arrival, the MLA, along with all the devotes, offered prayers and performed the Jal-Abhishekh at Lord Shiva Temple at the Siddheswar complex.
Speaking to this correspondent, the MLA informed that this is for the second consecutive year that the people of the constituency took the Jal-Abhishekh Yatra to Char-Dham on the auspicious occasion of Sawan. She highlighted that the State government has developed a beautiful pilgrimage destination where devotees can offer prayers and that the complex now offered a convenient venue for all people to come together in prayer and devotion.
Similarly, The Siddheshwar Dham managing committee also carried out a Jal Abhishek Yatra from Kholaghari to Chardham and made offerings at all the 12 Jyotirlings and the main temple with a Kalash Yatra Bhandara. Bhajans and cultural programmes were schedule for later in the evening.
