GANGTOK, 08 Oct: An awareness-cum-induction programme was organized at IGNOU, Study Centre, Government College Rhenock, today. The programme was organized by IGNOU, Study Centre 2407 in collaboration with regional centre, Gangtok.
The function was attended by students of IGNOU, Principal of the College, Dr. Lilly Aley, Regional Director, IGNOU, Gangtok, Dr. Youna Bhutia, Resource persons, Dilip Kumar Darjee and Rinzing Nedup Yalmu, Assistant Professors and non-teaching faculties of the College.
The release informs that during the programme, Co-coordinator, IGNOU, Study centre, Rhenock, Elvis Lepcha highlighted the ongoing programmes of IGNOU under his Study centre. Meanwhile, Principal, Dr. Lilly Aley highlighted the history of the IGNOU study centre and its achievements.
At the same time she requested the Regional Director to introduce post graduate courses in the Rhenock Study centre. Resource persons Dilip Kumar Darjee and Rinzing Nedup Yalmo clarified about the various technicalities in the enrolment, registration, examination, assignments, and the counseling classes.
The Regional Director, Dr. Youna Bhutia, encouraged students to study and join IGNOU. He also interacted with the students and tried to clarify their doubts in various aspects related to IGNOU.
Assistant Professor, Bidhan Subba, summarizing the program, expressed gratitude and thanks to the Regional Director and his office for organizing such a program in the college. Assistant Professor, Palmu Kaleon also addressed the function. It was also decided during the programme that classes for the students of IGNOU under Rhenock study centre will be held in the month of October and November, the release mentions.
