LIC employees reach earthquake relief to Dzongu


MANGAN 16 Dec: The Divisional Insurance Employees Association, Jalpaiguri, and its Gangtok branch reached relief items for earthquake victims of Bring Katam Ravong village of Hee Gyathang GPU of Lower Dzongu today.

A team of the LIC Employees Associations from Jalpaiguri, Siliguri and Gangtok visited the area and distributed relief to the 50 families of the ward. Cooking utensils like serving spoons, plates, mugs, pans and blankets were distributed.
Govind Prasad Sharma and Nicholas Lepcha, the president and secretary of the Gangtok unit of the Association were present among others. The relief was distributed in the presence of Samthi Lepcha, the Panchayat member of the ward. Relief items worth more than Rs. 60,000 were distributed, it is informed.
