GANGTOK, 21 Sept: The Sikkim Chemists Association has announced plans to provide free first aid and medical facilities to earthquake victims wherever required, informs a press release issued by its general secretary, Rajesh Somani.
The Association has advised all its members across the state to rush to quake-affected areas and help victims by providing early medical help.
The Association will also he distributing medicines to victims through NGOs working in their respective areas all over the State, the release adds. The first batch of medical kits was despatched yesterday to Mangan through Bar Council volunteers, it is informed. The second batch was dispatched today for Merong village through Lions Club of Tadong and a social help group ‘Live to Love’.
Medical kits have also been dispatched to Dzongu with the help of Sai Samiti, Gangtok. SCA is also sending one more kit of medicines and allied items to Mangan tomorrow through the Sikkim Chamber of Commerce. The Association is in constant touch with the State administration and if required, help can be extended to other areas also, the release further informs.
