GANGTOK, 06 May: The oath taking ceremony of 25 captains of Paljor Namgyal Girls School was held today.
A press release informs that the oath taking ceremony is a tradition which is held yearly to honour the captains and hand over the responsibility to maintain the tradition of the school motto of Love, Service and Joy.
The program started with the badge giving ceremony by Principal of the school, Jem Pandi Targain and ended with all the captains taking their pledge.
The release informs that Chubongmit Lepcha has been appointed as the school captain, Anushika Basnet and Reepandi Lepcha as vice captains, Suvarna Darjee as primary school captain and Pema Khandu Bhutia as primary school vice captain.
Along with captains, house captains and vice captains from different houses – Borang (Blue), Rabong (Red), Ralong (Yellow), Rayong (Green) also took the pledge on the occasion, it is added.
