GANGTOK, 21 Oct: Saugaat, a contemporary folk songs collection, was released by Kumar Yonzon this evening. This Nepali music album packs in eight songs and has been produced by the singer Aakash Lama himself along with Hemant Rai, Ruben Shahi, Prakash Sundas and Anu Sundas. The album was recorded at Decibel Digital Records, Deorali.
Mr Lama today mentioned that the main objective of the album was to provide an opportunity to overlooked talents especially from the rural areas. He mentioned that he would provide similar opportunities to talented artists and singers in his future endeavors as well.
Mr Lama further informs that he plans to make videos to go with the album after Diwali.
The album, he emphasized, featured folk music of different communities, an attempt at communal harmony through music.
