GANGTOK, 16 Feb: The Divine Life Society is organizing a free Yoga Course from 03 May to 25 June at the Sivananda Ashram Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.
A press release informs that the course is offered to men who are Indian citizens, between the ages of 20 and 65. Applicants who are Graduates are preferred, but more importantly they should have a keen spiritual aspiration and deep interest in the practice of Yoga and Vedanta. Applicants should also be conversant in English and be of good health.
Over the two-month duration of the course, the students will get comprehensive training in Patanjali's Yoga System, Asanas, Pranayama, and Meditation. History of Indian and Western Philosophy, Philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita, among others will also be taught, the release informs.
There will be no charges for training, boarding and lodging. Pure vegetarian food will be provided. The Divine Life Society, Sikkim Branch can bear the travel cost of the candidates to-and-fro to Rishikesh if they are economically backward.
