GANGTOK, 14 Aug: Members of Travel Agents Association of Sikkim [TAAS], Sikkim Hotel and Restaurant Association [SHRA], Sikkim Association of Adventure Tour Operators [SAATO] and officials from the state Tourism department attended a workshop on Bed and Breakfast Scheme of India Tourism, Government of India at Mayfair Resorts, Ranipool today.
A TAAS press release informs that during the programme, Regional Director, North East, Ministry of Tourism, Sanjay Shreevats highlighted the benefits of bed and breakfast scheme.
During the function TAAS submitted a memorandum seeking immediate attention and approval by The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India for the future promotion of Tourism in Sikkim. TAAS also presented a Felicitation letter to the Ministry of Tourism which was received by Sanjay Shreevats, the release mentions.
