GANGTOK, 21 Oct: Gangtok Urban ICDS Project celebrated International Girl Child Day themed “Innovating for Girls’ Education” at Samaj Kalyan Bhawan, Lumsey in East Sikkim on 11 October. The programme was attended by Aganwadi workers, supervisors and the CDPOs.
A press release informs that the programme had Legal Officer Yosha Lachenpa and Deputy Director [ICDS], GM Subba as resource persons, who took up some of case studies of sexual assaults, the Delhi gang rape and stressed on the girl education.
The programme was coordinated by supervisor, Sunita Tamang and concluded with a vote of thanks by supervisor Ranjana Rai.
