Yangang Dancing Star competition begins Saturday

GANGTOK, 13 Sept: Tig Day Cho Event Management Agency is organizing a weekly reality dance show named “Yangang Dancing Star 2013”. The event will be conducted during the weekdays in September and October 2013, starting with the audition round from 14 September. The dance show is based on solo dance competition format where participants from Yangang Sub Division area can take part.
A press release from the agency informs that it has received more than a hundred registrations for the event which aims to highlight the dancing talents from the region. It is informed that the four-week event will be conducted by volunteers of local youth organization named Tig Day Cho Management Agency under the guidance of local social worker Dipak Chettri along with active support from local sponsors.
The event will have four rounds; audition, quarter finals, semi finals and grand finale with various elimination rounds in various segments to take the best out of the best. There will a three-member panel of judges.
The whole event is to be conducted in Yangang Bazaar and Yangang Senior Secondary School premises. The grand finale is scheduled to be held in the first week of October 2013. The idea behind coming up with such a concept is to attract local youths to professional dancing and other forms of art, the release informs.
There will be series of other creative programmes conducted along with the main event like singing performances by local artistes, drama, comedy, counseling by experts to encourage youths to get into creative profeesions. Along with the “Yangang Dancing Star 2013” title the winners will be awarded with cash prize, memento, certificate and if possible a winter dance course with experts. The top three participants will receive cash prizes and certificates while certificates will be given to the top ten participants.
