GANGTOK, 16 Sept: A short fiction ‘The Gentleman with a Torn Shoe’ written by 26-year-old Ashish Sharma of Majhitar is soon to be released. As per a press release, the book is based on the earthquake that hit Sikkim on 18 September 2011, its consequences and the struggle of students in a competitive world.
The book published by Mahaveer Publishers, New Delhi was to be launched on the second anniversary of the 2011 quake on 18 September but has been postponed by a few weeks due to technical reasons, the release mentions.
The book will soon be available throughout India.
