GANGTOK, 16 Sept [IPR]: The 33 Core Commander [Siliguri Division], Lt. General KJ Singh, and GOC Black Cat Division, D. Anbu called on Chief Minister Pawan Chamling at his official residence, Mintokgang here in the state capital, today.
During the meeting the Chief Minister expressed his happiness at the Army’s cooperation and support with the state government in times of need. He said that the state government is providing peace and security to the people, maintaining its unity and integrity with the rest of the country. During the course of discussion the Chief Minister expressed hope that the co-operation between Army and the State Government will continue further for the interest of the state as well as the nation.
The Lt. General thanked the Chief Minister and his governance for the cooperation with the Army and also appreciated the overall development of the state. He also discussed Tourism Development in the state and the NH 31A, the lifeline of the state. The General also informed the Chief Minister about the Nathula border and the function of the Indian Army there.
