NAMCHI, 20 June: With the aim to provide more employment opportunities to the local educated unemployed youth, the Akhil Sikkim Ex-Servicemen Welfare Sangh’s Namchi wing has begun approaching principals at senior secondary school in the district to motivate students to consider joining the armed forces, recruitments for which are scheduled to be held soon.
Members of the Sangh visited two senior secondary schools of South Sikkim recently and organized counselling programmes there in this regard recently.
The executive committee of the Sangh was at Sadam Senior Secondary School recently and organized a “Force Recruitment Counselling programme” there and were later at the Namthang Senior Secondary School with a similar programme.
The Sangh has thanked the Vice Principals of both the schools for their positive and supportive response.
The counselling sessions will continue at other schools across the district, it is informed.
