GANGTOK, 21 June [IPR]: Chief Secretary ND Chingapa, who is also an Advisor to Sikkim Association of Adventure Tour Operators [SAATO], released the fifth edition of the SAATO magazine, “North East India: Paradise Unexplored”, at function held in his office today.
The 34-page magazine includes updates, glimpses and activities of SAATO along with various highlights of North East India.
The Chief Secretary, while releasing the magazine, appreciated the works being done by SAATO towards boosting the tourism industry in the State.
Y. Dorjee, the SAATO president, in his brief address, informed that the magazine will be distributed to corporate houses, leading tour operators in India and abroad and at every tourism expo. He added that in this magazine, SAATO has made an attempt to display the products to match the market demands of the new emerging breed of tourists.
The function was also attended by PK Dong, Advisor, Tashi. T. Lepcha and Namgyal P. Lepcha, vice presidents, DN Pradhan, general secretary, Saran Gurung, secretary, KC Denzongpa, vice president, publicity, and other members of SAATO.
