GANGTOK, 04 Feb [IPR]: Three educated unemployed youth who had
undergone 3 months motor (driving) training at the State Institute of Capacity
Building Karfectar received their vehicle loan under SIDICO today during the Gram
Swaraj Mela.
Chandrika Chettri of Chisopani is now a proud owner of a Sumo
Gold vehicle which she will be using as a taxi. She expressed her gratitude to
the Chief Minister and the state government for giving opportunities like this
to women and empowering them.
Santosh Limboo of Kholaghari will be using his new Bolero for
tourism purposes.
As a youth, he expressed his immense gratitude to the Chief
Minister and the State Government for giving him this benefit which will help
him to become self reliant.
Subit Narayan Chettri of Lower Mamley, who got a Sumo Gold, also
conveyed his deepest gratitude to the Chief Minister and the State Government
for this opportunity to become independent and said that he was able to fulfill
his dream because of them. He said that he will be using the vehicle as a
tourist vehicle.
Saroj Rai of Nandugaon says he will be also using his Hyundai Eon
as a taxi. He also conveyed utmost gratitude to the Chief Minister and the
State Government for this opportunity.
Their unanimous message to both educated and uneducated
unemployed youth of Sikkim - “Please avail of the facilities provided by the
state government to become self reliant and proud owners and support the
government in fulfilling its aim to make Sikkim a Self Reliant State.”
And then there are the ladies who received Induction Cooking
Stove along with utensils.
Sabitri Chettri of Dalep Temi Namphing and Manita Tamang of
Namthang Rateypani received induction stoves. They said that they were both
happy to receive this benefit and thanked the CM and State Government. Mrs
Chettri said that she would now stay away from the ‘chullah’ and use the
induction stove after learning how to use it from her daughter.
Under Land Bank Scheme there were 100 beneficiaries for 2013-2014
wherein two persons received their tokens today.
