GANGTOK, 03 Feb: All Sikkim Student Association [ASSA], Gangtok, has strongly condemned the fatal attack on Arunachal student, Nido Taniam in New Delhi which led to his death.
Addressing the media here in the capital today, ASSA president, Pritam Singh accompanied by vice-president cum spokesperson, N Tseten Lepcha demanded speedy justice for Nido.
There are many students from Sikkim as well studying in Delhi and such an attack over someone’s looks is horrifying, they said.
ASSA will soon be setting up branches [students association] in other states, they informed. The association further thanked the Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling, MP Lok Sabha, PD Rai, and MP Rajya Sabha, Hisshey Lachungpa for voicing their concern on the Delhi incident.
