GANGTOK, 14 Oct: A burglary has been reported from a jewellery store at Tibet Road, Gangtok. Preliminary investigations by the Sadar police has led them to believe it to be an inside job. The store, belonging to Adhik Yadav, was reportedly burgled on the intervening night of 12 and 13 October.
Spot enquiry by the police has revealed no sign of a forced entry. It is presumed that a duplicate set of keys may have been used. About one and a half tola of gold ornamants along with some silver articles are reported missing. Interestingly, another set of gold ornaments and silver items kept adjacent to the display have been left untouched. No one has been arrested so far.
