GANGTOK, 25 Nov: The public outreach programme - ‘Jan Samparka Abhiyan’ - of the Sikkim Democratic Front was held here at Tadong ward of Upper Tadong constituency on Sunday.
A press release informs that the public contact programme covered the College Valley area, Raj Gram [Amar Gram] and Durga Mandir, 6th Mile Tadong. The meetings were attended by area MLA, DB Thapa, Bhasker Basnet [councilor] and others.
The public also participated in the meetings where they placed various demands like jhora, drainage, street light, drinking water supply, footpath, etc, the release adds. The area MLA also addressed the meetings where he informed the public about Government schemes and policy as well.
