Sikkim paraglider wins fifth position in Spot Landing Competition


GANGTOK, 07 Dec: The Sikkim Paragliding Association [SPA] had sent two pilots to take part in the Open Spot Landing Competition held in Aizwal in Mizoram on 25 November. The competition which was held from 28 to 30 November was organized by Mizoram Tourism Department and 3 Dimension Adventure.
The competition had 40 participants, while Sikkim was represented by Nima Tamang and Bishnu Tshering Lepcha.
Nima Tamang won the fifth place, while the first, second and third places were won by participants from Nepal, informed general secretary, SPA, CP Pradhan.
He further informed that from today, eight candidates from SPA will be undergoing first aid training at the Sir Thutob Namgyal Memorial [STNM] Hospital.
