GYALSHING, 04 Nov: Gyalshing Police conducted a three-day cleanliness drive at Gyalshing Bazaar. All jhoras and drains falling under the Gyalshing Nagar Panchayat were cleaned starting from 8 30 am till 3 30 pm.
All the police personnel were directed to get the jhoras and drains in their respective wards cleared after of the monsoon season. They were assisted in this effort by members of the local public along with Gyalshing and Tikjuk police, UD&HD Labour, business community and youth of the town area.
UD&HD Bazaar Officer, AB Gurung speaking to our correspondent informed that the areas to be covered by the service are hospital road, Naya Bazaar and Gyashing. Gyalshing Police Inspector, Karma C Bhutia also speaking to mediapersons further appealed to the residents to “act responsibly” and informed that offenders, who continue to dump garbage in the area will be fined and suitable action taken against them.
