No reports of damages to crops in East district

GANGTOK, 02 May: East district has been in the grips of extreme weather pattern the past few days. There has been severe rain and hail followed by strong sun. With the weather pattern expected to continue in the same erratic pattern further and especially in light of possibility of rain and hail the east district administration is on alert in case of any damages especially to fields and crops.
DC-East, AK Singh stated that he has not received any reports of damages following the severe hailstorm of 01 May; however, he has alerted all the Block Development Officers and Revenue Supervisors to visit their respective areas for inspection for any damages.

In case they come across any damages the same is to be reported.
