INTUC celebrates Labour Day

GANGTOK, 02 May: Indian National Trade Union Congress [INTUC] celebrated International Labour Day on 01 May at the party’s head office at Tadong, Gangtok. The celebration was attended by Dr AD Subba [president, Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee] as the chief guest. Also present were Major [Retd] T Gyatso [SPCC working president], Tara Shrestha [spokesperson], Kinlay Gyaltsen Bhutia [State president, INTUC] and Ranjeet Gajmer [East district president].

A press release informs that Dr Subba and Major Gyatso highlighted on the importance of workers in the development of the state, their rights and facilities they should get. Mr Gyaltsen spoke on the role of INTUC and other related issues.
